About the project

The ship NOAH travels from Earth toward the Andromeda galaxy in 365 days. Each day covers a shell of space around the Sun; each shell contains real stars, planets, clouds and events.

What is real and what is invented

• REAL DATAMeasured values with a source.
• ESTIMATEModel-based or uncertain values.
• UNCONFIRMEDReported but not confirmed.
• UNKNOWNOpen scientific questions.
• FICTIONThe Parallax drive, ship telemetry and Vesper are invented for the story.

Two clocks

The ship's day counts our journey. The “Earth view” is different: the light we see from Earth left it years ago, so we always see Earth's past, never its present.

Corrections

Astronomy changes. If you find an error or a newer value, tell us; we will correct it and keep the date of the change.
